The South Side Community Art Center (SSCAC)\, the country’s oldest continuously operating Black arts institution\, is thrilled to announce its upcoming renovation and expansion project. Join us for a special Community Design Unveiling and explore the exciting future of SSCAC. This event will showcase the transformation of the Center with designs created by Future Firm and wrkSHäp | kiloWatt\, highlighting the balance between preserving SSCAC’s rich history and introducing bold\, accessible\, and sustainable new spaces. Learn about the plans to expand visitor capacity by 398%\, create museum-grade galleries\, rooftop event spaces\, and honor the building’s historic legacy. This is a unique opportunity to see how this iconic Bronzeville institution will evolve to better serve the community\, support Black artists\, and enrich future generations.  Questions?
