Join us on August 31st at Bronzeville Neighborhood Farm for a program as part of ReSOURCE: Art and Resourcefulness in Black Chicago.
Artist Candace Hunter will unveil a public art piece, commissioned as part of ReSOURCE, that captures the stories of Bronzeville residents, reflecting their lived experiences and voices.
This program honors the rich tradition of oral history and the griot’s role in preserving collective memory. It also celebrates our deep connection to the land at Bronzeville Neighborhood Farm, a vital source of community and cultural resilience. Come engage with the narratives that have shaped our neighborhood and contribute to the ongoing legacy of Black creativity in Chicago.
ReSOURCE is part of Art Design Chicago, a citywide collaboration initiated by the Terra Foundation for American Art that highlights the city’s artistic heritage and creative communities.
