Eselean Henderson (1917-2004) was born in Ruston, Louisiana and moved to Chicago as a child with her family. Following the death of both parents, the children were raised by her mother’s youngest sister.

Marcus the Artist (b. 1976) is a Chicago born and raised mixed-media artist whose practice allows him to search for truth, meaning, and purpose. Alleyne graduated from the American Academy of Art with a BFA in Fine Art Painting and is the co-founder of Eban Showroom, an art gallery inspired by the adinkra symbol representing family, love, and security.
